Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. she is currently president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California born Buss has been raised by an extremely wealthy family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon who later became the owner of the Lakers and other businesses related to sports. She felt abandoned emotionally as her parents divorced in 1972. At 19 years old, she began working for the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later she founded the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She served as the director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, as did the Lakers were acquired by her as well as five of her siblings through an inheritance trust. Each sibling had equally many votes. Buss assumed the role of the president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
